Youri Tielemans would be perfect transfer for Arsenal – Gunners legend Tells Arteta

The club legend Nigel Winterburn has urged Arsenal to make a move for Youri Tielemans of Leicester for their first priority.

Mikel Arteta, the manager of the Arsenal, has previously stated he will continue to press for transfers while he restructures his team.

Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos, and Matt Turner were all acquired this summer, bringing a total of five players to the Emirates.

Furthermore, there have been persistent rumors that Tielemans, a 25-year-old Belgian with only one year remaining on his contract at the King Power Stadium, could be the next.

According to reports, Leicester expects Arsenal to pursue the player, but the North London club has not yet made an official approach.

In June, it was alleged that Arsenal and the player had already reached a personal agreement.

Furthermore, Tielemans’ Premier League experience, in the opinion of Winterburn, who won three league championships with Arsenal between 1987 and 2000, would make him an ideal addition.

On behalf of FreeSuperTips, the 58-year-old was asked who his ideal signing would be while speaking exclusively to SunSport.

It’s a tough decision, but I do believe we still need a midfield player, so someone like a Tielemans would be great, the two-time FA Cup winner responded.

Given that he has Premier League experience, he would be a good fit for Arsenal. I’m just not sure if the transfer will actually happen because it’s been spoken about for so long.

However, if you look at Arsenal’s activity over the past two seasons, there has been a lot of young talent entering the club. They need that kind of player in the midfield.

Players with Premier League experience are also joining, so I would assume that’s the approach Arsenal is taking.

As a supporter, you never really know what’s going on at your club, but you’d assume someone with experience in the Premier League would be hired in that vein.

They will need to be physically capable of participating in this Arsenal team because, in my opinion, they will want to play a pressing style of football this year, especially at the beginning of games.

It can be challenging to predict what Arteta and Edu will accomplish, but someone like Tielemans will be excellent.

It might be a young person we haven’t heard of who is being developed for the future, as was the case last season and this season.

But if they do make another hire, I hope they make the correct choice and that they can join this team right away.

Also receiving high acclaim from Winterburn were Arsenal’s revamped offensive line and French center-back William Saliba, who had a strong preseason following his loan stint at Marseille.

Saliba has played extremely well defensively, and while the Premier League will be a step up for him, he hasn’t done anything improperly, the commentator said.

He has pace, seems at ease, and plays well with the ball. It appears to be in a decent position, so let’s move it up to the Premier League and see what happens there.

However, what has most impressed me is the link-up play between Jesus, [Martin] Odegaard, [Bukayo] Saka, and [Gabriel] Martinelli. With Jesus and Zinchenko, I fit they’ll just slot right in.

Along with the front-row pressuring and high work rate, it’s high energy, and if they can keep those players in shape and at their best, it should be thrilling
