Why I always attend concerts with my family and friends – Ayra Starr shares her experience

Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, also known as Ayra Starr, a Nigerian singer, recalled on her twitter page why she used to go to concerts with her family and friends years ago in order to advance her career.

The singer claimed that she had taken her friends and family to her shows in the past, just in case no one knew her music, so that they could encourage the crowd by joining in on the songs.

She referred to those moments in her music career as “Sapa” moments.

Recalling that Nigerian music industry and Global Music are gradually bridging the gap, international collaborations are now a norm.

A long time ago, getting an international artist to feature Nigerians in a song was a dream and impossible to achieve, however, things have changed and international acts are now willing to collaborate with us.

The likes of Beyonce, Kanye West, Drake, Chris Brown, Meek Mill, Madona, Ed Sheeran, Akon, Usher, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, and many more have collaborated with Nigerian artists.

Ayra Starr has joined the group of Nigerian musicians that have worked with foreign artists.

The rapidly emerging musician has debuted her most recent collaboration with Kelly Rowland, an American singer and actress.

Ayra Starr stated on Instagram that she would collaborate on a song with the legendary musician.
