A significant prize was given to the outstanding actress and filmmaker who is currently residing in Canada.

Toyin was one of the attendees at African Canada Investment award dinner, where she received an award.

Toyin Abraham bags award from Lagos government

Toyin Abraham had received an award of recognition by the Lagos State Governor

The award was in commemoration of 2022 International women’s day.

Some female Nollywood stars such as Mo Abudu, Adunni Ade, Adebimpe Oyebade and Toyin Abraham received the award for their trailblazing works, inspiring young girls, including women and outstanding contributions towards building a greater Lagos.

Toyin Abraham took to her Instagram page to express appreciation to the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and prayed for the State like other Nollywood stars.

This earned Toyin Abraham criticisms as many fans stormed her comment section, claiming she had been bought and will avoid speaking against the current administration of Sanwo-Olu.
