Nigerian brilliant Lady bags first-class degree in Chemical Engineering, wonderful

With a 4.74 first-class GPA in Chemical Engineering, Naomi Uponi, a wonderful Nigerian woman, has achieved incredible accomplishment.

At Covenant University in Nigeria, Naomi Uponi earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. She received first-class honours and a 4.74 grade point at graduation.

She celebrated her accomplishment of earning a first-class degree from the institution on Linkedin.

She stated, “On September 29, 2023, I received my first-class Chemical Engineering degree from Covenant University (4.74/5.0).”

Naomi expressed her gratitude to her family, friends, professors, and mentors stating that they have been instrumental in shaping her academic journey.

Naomi said she is fully prepared and eager to begin the next chapter armed with the knowledge she has acquired.

She added that she looks forward to applying her passion for environmental engineering and renewable energy to fresh opportunities

A brilliant Nigerian man named Nelson Elijah Ifechukwu has bagged an Electrical Engineering degree at Covenant University, Nigeria with an outstanding first class honors of 4.98 over a possible 5.00 cumulative grade point.

Nelson also won the award as the overall best-graduating student of the eighteenth graduating set of Covenant University.

He won the award as the best-graduating student of the Department of Electrical Electronics Engineering, College of Engineering, and the overall best-graduating student of the university.

While in the university, Nelson maintained a straight A and scored just one B all through his time in the school. He scored the highest grade point out of the 1,175 students who graduated for the 2022/2023 academic session.

Nelson was a member of the Enactus team, where he assisted the board in building sustainable projects for social impact and entrepreneurship. He was also a member of the technical crew.

Aside from his academic achievements, Nelson is a Robotics Engineer. He worked on different projects involving Artificial Intelligence (AI) which includes CamAI(a camera that harnesses the potential of AI and a Quadocopter.

He also developed an AI-powered chatbot called “OWÓ” with his team, the chatbox enables users to send money to a recipient’s account through social media messaging, specifically WhatsApp.

He and his team presented the development at the Hackit Challenge by 3Line Card Management Limited and they were awarded the First Runner-Up of the Hackit Challenge, with a cash prize of one million naira.
