Mohammed Hayatu- Deen the Presidential aspirant under the Official Peoples Democratic Party PDP, has withdrawn from the race for the party’s ticket just hours to the inception of party’s primary election.
In a letter addressed to the National Chairman of the party,Sen. Iyiochia Ayu, which he signed
The economist and former banker said he withdrew from the race on grounds of morality noting that the entire contest has been obscenely monitized.
He said, I joined the contest as a democrat, with an open mind to keenly contest and accept the result of a process that’s fair, believable and transparent.
We’ve endeavoured to forge a agreement which would have eased a flawless emergence of a seeker which unfortunately couldn’t be achieved.
Hayatu- Deen further said, I didn’t join party politics and to dispute for the administration because of particular earnings and devilish ambition, but in order to serve our country.
