My song with Fireboy is the best selling record in England – Ed Sheeran
The largest Afrobeats song in the world, according to British artist Ed Sheeran collaboration with Nigerian musician Fireboy DML.
The multiple award-winning singer was discussing Peru, the smash song by Fireboy, and how it felt to collaborate on the remix.
While giving a radio interview on The Breakfast Club, Ed Sheeran made the claim and said that Peru is the best-selling album in England.
The friend who introduced him to the Nigerian Afrobeats singer, according to the music sensation cum actor, regrettably passed away in February.
He added that he had no idea that Peru remix, the second-best-selling song of the year, would become as popular as it has.
You we Recall that Adedamola Adefolahan, better known by his stage name Fireboy DML, has confessed that early in his career, he frequently prayed to God for an album similar to Wizkid’s debut effort, “Superstar.”
He revealed this when discussing the release of his own debut album, Laughter Tears and Goosebumps, with UK-based broadcaster Adesope Olajide.
Fireboy responded that he was worried and dubious because the album came out after he had just released two songs when Adesope questioned him about if he knew or felt that LTG would be a classic success.
He continued by saying that he had previously prayed to God for an album like Wizkid’s Superstar.

The singer of “Peru” also admitted that the love stories he included in his songs for LTG were based on people whose hearts he had witnessed falling in love.
He continued by saying that on his second album, Apollo, he had finally made up his mind to tell his own story.
