Cater Efe, a Nigerian comedian turned singer, shared his actual age on Twitter.

The Machala singer stated that he would turn 21 on September 29, 2022. September 29 will be my 21st birthday. God’s blessings, he wrote.

His followers have reacted differently to this because many of them question the veracity of this information.

Remember how Carter Efe. made history a few weeks ago when his Wizkid homage song, “Machala,” featuring Berri Tiga, debuted on the US Billboard Afrobeats Charts?

Efe, who began his comic career in 2018, is also the first Nigerian skit maker to achieve this feat.

He tweeted a screenshot of the Billboard Chart on his Twitter page as a response to the achievement.

The song, which was initially published on July 29, was a tribute to the legendary musician Wizkid Ayo Balogun.

The song debuted on the afrobeat charts in number 14 out of 50, alongside songs by (Burna boy, Tems, Davido, Rema, Master KG and his idol Wizkid).

The featured artist Berri Tiga and Producer X also shared the joy of this achievement as they have taken to their social media pages to jubilate and engage with their fans.

In March, Billboard debuted the first-ever American chart for Afrobeats music in collaboration with a concert festival and the international Afrobeats brand Afro Nation.

The top 50 Afrobeats songs in the U.S. according to the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs list are determined by metrics including official streams and download sales from reputable music stores.

Machala is slang for “Supreme King” in Nigeria. The passionate fan base of Nigerian musician Wizkid, known as Wizkid FC, has given him this title.

The Warri-native who created the sketch utilizes the word Machala as a catchphrase to better convey his aspirations.
