Kano 2023: Why I Endorsed My Deputy To Succeed Me – Gov Ganduje; Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State on Tuesday opened up on why he endorse his Deputy, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna to succeed him as the coming Governor of the Kano state.

Ganduje said the choice of Gawuna as preferred seeker was because he’s a complete gentleman who’s dependable and loyal.

The statement by Ganduje’s Chief Press Secretary, Abba Anwar said the Governor officially anointed Gawuna as governorship candidate and his former Commissioner for local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs, Murtala Sule Garo, as the deputy candidate.

For the forthcoming 2023 general election during a stakeholders meeting of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, held at Africa Government House on tuesday in Kano state

Ganduje said the decision was unanimously taken after total reflections with all the stakeholders of the party, adding that, all party procedures were followed before arriving at the position.

According to him, As governor produced Deputy to come governor. This time around, my Deputy,Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna is our choice for the gubernatorial seat come 2023 general election.

So also he’ll dispute with Murtala Sule Garo as his running mate.

Ganduje described Gawuna as a complete gentleman, who knows what’s right and what’s wrong. A person who’s dependable and veritably loyal.

As a Deputy Governor, he makes good use of his office. A veritably loyal assistant, who’s veritably loyal and reliable.

The governor also described Gawuna’s handling mate, Garo as another loyal and intrepid fellow saying, He’s a real Commander, who’s loyal and married to our cause.

Also, members of the National Assembly led Majority Leader of House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwa who attended the meeting also anointed governor Ganduje to battle for Senatorial District

Kano North while they introduced the nomination form to the governor, close by different members.

Meanwhile, members of the State Assembly promised to give for a befitting crusade office within North Senatorial District, as suggested by the Speaker of the State Assembly, Mastermind Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari.
