Insecurity In Nigeria: If I Were Buhari, I Would Have Resigned – Wike

The Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, on Thursday, in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State, said any government that can not cover the lives and property of its citizens doesn’t earn to be in power.

Chief Wike, one of presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stated this while in the state to canvass support of both delegates and party’s stalwarts.

Is not comfortable with the alleged manner the All Progressives Congress (APC), under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari, is presently handling the security challenges persecuting the country, Wike said he’d have abnegated if he was the president of this country.

Governor Wike said, “ I would have resigned if I’m President Buhari. I would have addressed Nigerians and tell them that I’ve tried my stylish but my stylish isn’t good enough, thus, I’m resigning.”

Wike, who was of the view that “ there is no part of Nigeria that’s safe moment”, observed that “ indeed Katsina, the President’s state, is one of the most affected.”

Averring that the APC government has done nothing to meliorate the security predicaments of the country, Nigerians, as editorialized by him, need a leader that “ is veracious, married and dogged to bring about positive change”.

Speaking, the host governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku, who has been championing for state police, said if created, the present security situation of the country would be addressed.
