Pep Guardiola, the head coach of Manchester City, was seen on camera defending Lionel Messi, the star forward for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), to his team.

In the recently released documentary Together: Champions Again!, Guardiola, who coached Messi while he was a member of the Barcelona coaching staff, was seen observing a team meeting. The documentary shows behind-the-scenes images of Manchester City’s successful 2021–22 season.

The 35-year-old was mentioned by Guardiola in the second episode of the show during a halftime team meeting to explain how his squad could defeat Club Brugge in a UEFA Champions League group-stage match.
