After joining the Catalan giants, Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen deleted a social media post and changed his profile image back to his Chelsea one.

After deleting a more recent post for his new team, the Danish defender altered his Instagram profile image back to one of him wearing Chelsea gear and wearing a Champions League winner’s medal around his neck.

After five years in west London, Christensen moved to Barcelona this summer on a free transfer.

However, ESPN reported on Wednesday that a clause in their contracts allows both Christensen and fellow recent arrival Franck Kessie to leave for free.

Barca supporters will undoubtedly be alarmed by the most recent development in what has been a rollercoaster season at the Camp Nou

Even though the change to the Danish player’s social media profile is currently not indicative of anything other than a change in taste.

Christensen and Kessie, who came to the Blaugrana from Chelsea and AC Milan, respectively, this summer

Are still waiting to be registered by the club as a result of their persistent financial problems, which have been a pain in the club’s side all summer.

Following the signing of Ferran Torres in January, the team had a similar issue, which prompted a lot of financial decisions to be taken in order to sign the forward.

Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Jules Kounde, three more summer additions, as well as the contract extensions of Ousmane Dembele and Sergi Roberto, have not yet been registered by the Blaugrana.

However, a provision in their contracts will allow Christensen and Kessie to go for free because they came to the Camp Nou as free transfers.

Barca has spent more than £100 million on new players this summer, but it is thought that they are not finished yet.

However, ESPN has reported that Joan Laporta, the president of Barcelona, is certain that all seven players will be registered before the match with Vallecano.

It is unknown if the seven players will be registered in time for the game when Barca faces Rayo Vallecano in their LaLiga opener on Saturday at Camp Nou.

They have until the end of August to list players with the Spanish first division, but if they are unable to do so, they will try to work out a solution with the players’ agents.”
