The Presidential applicant under the Peoples Democratic Party, Bukola Saraki, has stated that the opinions and recommendations of the Northern Elders on the agreement seeker should be taken in good faith, adding that everyone involved in the process wasn’t forced.
Saraki stated this at PDP Secretariat in Minna when he met with the state delegates to seek their support for his aspiration of getting the PDP presidential flagbearer.
Saraki say, “ We freely went to our elders’statesmen to seek their participation for the primary. They didn’t seek or ask that they should be involved in it, and neither were we forced into doing it. We decided on our own to go seek their involvement for a northern agreement seeker.
“In the choice, we value our elder statemen for their job simultaneously and their positive energy and longing for the solidarity of the country. To maintain the decision is a singular decision. Everybody needs to pursue his own choice.”
The former chamber chairman promised that after he becomes the President of Nigeria, banditry and hijacking will be a thing of the history, adding that the country is in a state that needs hopeless intervention, especially in the areas of instability and poverty.
The former Senate President stated that when he becomes the President, there would be further women in his press while youths will be made Ministers of State of colorful ministries.
“ After I come President, there will be no further banditry and hijacking in this country. I assure you that I’ll do more as chairman. I’ll include further women in my press and make sure that my press has youths as Ministers of State”
The former Senate President appealed to the members of PDP in Niger state to work towards icing that the north-central produces its first President, stressing that it’s time for the north-central to have a democratically tagged President.
“ 2023 is the time of the north-central. We’ll make history to have a democratically tagged chairman from the zone. We can fix, deliverance and rebuild the country,” Saraki said.
