2023: I Will Restore Unity, Bring Sense Of Belonging To All Nigerians – Atiku; Alhaji Atiku Abubakar the flagbearer of Official Peoples Democratic Party( PDP), has pledged to unify the country following his victory in the party’s primary election.

Atiku, a former vice chairman, polled 371 votes to beat his closest rival and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State who scored 237 votes during the exercise held on Saturday in Abuja Nigeria.

Saraki polled 70 votes. Emmanuel( 38), Mohammed( 38), Anyim Pius Anyim( 14), Mrs Tari Diana Oliver( 1), and Sam Ohuabunwa( 1) participated the remainder of the valid votes.

I pledge to unify this country, he said in his victory speech. That’s why I relate to myself as a unifier.

The reason I feel that concinnity is important is because APC has divided Nigerians fully,

The PDP chieftain added. I’ll work to restore concinnity and bring a sense of belonging to all Nigerians. ”

The Adamawa- born politician indicted the ruling All Revolutionaries Congress( APC) of misruling the country but promised to fix the frugality and attack Nigeria’s security challenges.

The PDP made Nigeria one of the most prosperous countries in Africa, Atiku said. We enforced profitable reforms. The APC wiped out all those earnings.

Nationalistic Conclusion ’
Atiku also called on fellow rivals to work with him and insure the PDP retakes power in coming time’s general election.

Before in the day, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State had withdrawn from the race, asking his supporters to back Atiku.

I’ve come to the conclusion to the glory of God Almighty, seeing millions of Nigerians suffering and the need for us to close species in the party and as one of the leaders in this party

I’ve come to a nationalistic conclusion to step down my aspiration, the Sokoto governor former told the all parties members.

And not only that, I’ve appealed to my supporters to take this in good strides and for public concinnity and nationalism not only that, those who are delegates then, should bounce for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

The 2023 election will be the 75- time-old’s sixth attempt for the administration. In 2019, he was the PDP flagbearer but lost to peremptory President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a keenly queried presidential primary, presidential aspirant and governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike finished second with 237 votes.

The other aspirants in the race with Atiku and Wike, is Senator Bukola Saraki polled 70 votes; Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed with 38 votes; governor of Akwa Ibom Udom Emmanuel with 38 votes and former President of the Nigeria Senate, Anyim Pius with 14votes.
