2023: I Will Give More Power, Resources To States, LGs If Elected President - Atiku

2023: Atiku Meets Ogun PDP Delegates, Promises To Restore Unity Of Nigeria; The former Vice President and a Presidential applicant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has promised to restore the concinnity of Nigeria if suggested into power in 2023.

Atiku, who stated this when he met with delegate PDP in Ogun State at the party secretariat in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital, lamented that, Nigeria has noway been this divided ahead

Saying that, the ruling All Revolutionaries Congress (APC) has shattered the expedients and bournes of Nigerians. Atiku, who was accompanied by party chieftains, including;

Raymond Dokpesi, Senator Dino Melaye and other others, noted that, Nigeria must be saved form the APC- led administration who he said has led the country into failure, following poor frugality, instability and ethnical clashes.

He, still promised not fail Nigerians, saying APC has not been fair to all corridor of this country. We’ve noway witnessed the kind of schism we’ve moment in this country.

Indeed during the civil war, Nigeria wasn’t as divided as this and the reason for this schism is because the APC government has not been fair to all corridor of this country.

I promise to unify this country. I promise to give a sense of belonging to every part of this country. We’ve done it before in 1999 when we came, there was a lot of schism, but it wasn’t as bad as this.

But, the first thing we did was to make sure we formed a government of public concinnity and that gave us the calmness in the concinnity we demanded to govern, as long as the country

Isn’t united, you can not govern indeed in your own home, not to talk of a complex country like Nigeria which ismulti-ethnic andmulti-religious.

I promise to give every part of this country a sense of belonging, that was why I said, I’m going to restore concinnity.

I also said, I’m going to attack instability because once you attack instability, there will be peace and when there’s peace you can now begin to apply your profitable reforms which will produce jobs, which will bring about development.

I also said, I was also going to attack the issue of decentralisation or rather degeneration of powers to the state and the local governments, Atiku said.

Atiku who took a swipe at a Presidential applicant under the platform of APC and the governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi over his pledge to decline powers to the state and original governments during his protestation in Abuja

Described Fayemi as a fraud who has crippled original government administration in his state. Some many days agone, a governor declared to run for President

He was talking about original government autonomy and presently in his state, he’s not giving that autonomy to the original government, so you can see the insincerity from some of our leaders.
