2023: Atiku Is My Friend but I Won’t Influence Party Decisions – PDP Chairman; The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party,Sen. Iyiochia Ayu, has pledged not to allow his particular relationship with former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, to impact the party’s decision on its 2023 Presidential ticket.
Ayu, gave the pledge while responding to reflections by the former Vice President, who was at the party’s National Secretariat, Abuja, on Thursday, to interact with members of the PDP National Working Committee.
He expressed the party’s gratefulness to Atiku for easing the accession of the PDP National Secretariat during his time in office. Ayu said, Let me start by admitting that, you and I’ve been musketeers for over 30 times. As it was indicated, we were crucial players in the Social Democratic Party.
“We’ve been working politically together, you are an official applicant today, I believe individuals should realize that you are as still my brother. I ca n’t deny you, I noway deny my musketeers including those who are at the other disastrous party.

Atiku, while informing the NWC of his desire to seek the party’s nomination to dispute the 2023 presidential election, recalled his long- standing relationship with utmost, if not all members of the party’s NWC.
